Now that evil is unleashed into the world, everyone is on their guard, but none as much as the warriors of Sarden. With the death of her sister Akane, Josie is now destined for a life as the new heir to Nethendle, Sarden, but her enthusiasm in the fact is far from present. She would like nothing less to run away from home than attended the fierce mountain college o YFA. To her dismay she cannot escape her fate. The worst part though is that when she gets to the academy everyone expects her to be as good a fighter as her sister. Little do they know she is her own person and her skills are nothing like the strong Akane. If only everyone would accept that, but they do not.

It is under the cherry blossom on the edge of a mountain that she finds peace from all this, but not even there is free of irritating people. This fact is proven when a prince stumbles upon her and disturbs her self pity-party. All of a sudden she finds herself drawn into a world far more complicated than her own and her true abilities are put to the test like the never were before.
